Studio Ghibli-Inspired Drawing Session

Using photographic references, we'll be capturing a variety of Studio Ghibli themed images. This is a great session if you're wanting to loosen up, practice a range of subject matter, and experiment with new techniques. Each image will appear for a limited time, anywhere from 1 minute to 10 minutes, to encourage more intuitive and carefree drawing.

*Please note, we will not be drawing directly from Studio Ghibli film stills. We will be drawing reoccurring imagery found in Ghibli movies, such as: the Japanese countryside, planes, food and cooking utensils, etc.

All of our drawing sessions are relaxed and friendly environments. There's no pressure to have your microphone or camera on but if you're comfortable, we heartily welcome group conversation and questions. Our drawing sessions are known for their friendly and calming atmosphere with soft background chatter, often discussing subjects such as art techniques, materials, books, and film.

The session will be hosted by illustrator and Odd Orange founder, Morgan Grice. There will be time at the end to share work and receive group feedback if you choose.
